Frequently asked questions
Is this legal?+
Yes. Browsing the web with a non-default browser fingerprint is no more illegal than using a VPN. What you do inside the browser is your responsibility — we don't break a single ToS by existing. We do refuse onboarding for clearly illegal use cases (CSAM, fraud, ad-fraud at scale).
Why is it so much cheaper than Multilogin?+
Multilogin runs a sales team and an enterprise pricing model. We're a small focused team that ships engine updates over-the-air, so we don't carry that overhead. You're paying for software, not a sales pipeline.
How does hot-update protection work?+
Each fingerprint spoofer is a signed plugin (Ed25519 dual-signature, production + server). When a detector ships a new check we update the relevant plugin and your browser pulls it on next launch — usually within hours of the detection landing. Competitors rebuild and re-release the whole client, which takes 1-3 weeks.
Do you store my cookies / browsing data?+
Encrypted blobs, yes — for sync. The encryption is XChaCha20-Poly1305 with the key derived from your master password via Argon2id. The server never sees the key. We literally cannot decrypt your profiles even with full database access.
Which proxy providers do you support?+
Any HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, or SOCKS5 endpoint. We've tested with Bright Data, Oxylabs, Smartproxy, IPRoyal, and a long tail of mobile providers. DNS resolves through the proxy — no leaks.
Mac and Linux?+
Mac universal binary on launch. Linux .AppImage and .deb in beta. Windows is the primary platform during beta — that's where most multi-account ops actually run.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then, then drop to FREE. Lifetime licenses are non-refundable past 7 days but include all future updates.
What does the automation API give me that puppeteer-extra-stealth doesn't?+
Stealth plugins patch ~10 known fingerprint vectors. Our engine ships 50+, all real-world prevalence-weighted. We also handle profile state — cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB — across machines via encrypted sync. Stealth gives you one browser; we give you a fleet.
